Vaulta

Connect your first bank account

Learn how to add a bank connection, choose the accounts Vaulta can read and confirm the opening balance.

Before you begin

You need permission to manage bank connections in Vaulta and valid access to your organisation’s banking portal. Your bank may require a second approver or a strong-authentication step.

Add a connection

  1. Open Accounts and select Add connection.
  2. Choose your bank or search the integration directory.
  3. Continue to the bank’s secure authorisation flow.
  4. Select the accounts Vaulta should include.
  5. Return to Vaulta and assign each account to the correct entity.

Vaulta will begin importing available balances and transactions. The initial history can take a few minutes to appear.

Confirm the opening position

Review the currency, account type and current balance for each account. Restricted or ring-fenced accounts can be classified so they are not included in available operating cash.

If a balance looks incorrect, compare its timestamp with the source bank. Some institutions provide cleared balances and available balances on different schedules.

Keep the connection active

Bank authorisation may need to be renewed periodically. Vaulta displays a notice before consent expires and records reconnection events in the audit trail.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Does Vaulta move money when I connect a bank?

No. A new connection starts with read-only access unless your organisation separately enables payment services.

  • Can I connect more than one legal entity?

Yes. Accounts can be assigned to entities after they are connected.

  • Why is an account missing?

Confirm the account was selected during bank authorisation and that your bank user has access to it.
